Had a lot of fun writing my special letter for my daughter Charlotte’s “Star Student of the Week” assignment.
Dear Charlotte’s class,
What many of you might know is that Charlotte is filled with tremendous glee and a wonderful imagination. A really famous man named Walt Disney also shared these character traits; so, it isn’t shocking to find out that if you really want to get to know Charlotte, you can find traces of Charlotte’s background and personality in a handful of Disney characters.
Charlotte was born really small. In fact, she only weighed 2lbs 5oz., but her family realized very early on that even though she wasn’t that big, she had the same sassy and fierce attitude of Tinkerbell. The family knew they should never underestimate her.
Like Ariel from The Little Mermaid, Charlotte loves to sing, and her mom and dad are hoping as she gets older she’ll share that talent with others and not be so shy. They also hope that she won’t become friends with the Ursulas of this world.
Charlotte also likes to make people laugh. If Charlotte and Dori from Finding Nemo ever went on a comedy tour, they’d sell a lot of tickets.
One of the most beautiful aspects that Charlotte possesses is the love for her sister, Avery. Like Anna from Frozen, Charlotte would do anything to protect her and help her.
When Charlotte was a toddler and wore pigtails, people would tell her family that she looked just like Boo from Monsters Inc, and as her family watches her grow, they adore seeing their little Boo with her brown hair and big, brown eyes turn into Belle from Beauty and the Beast.
Charlotte’s family wished upon a star to make sure that Charlotte got here safely. And they know that anything Charlotte’s heart desires will come true. Charlotte will be “one jump ahead” like Aladdin. She’ll be as fast as Lightning McQueen. She’ll live her life with a good conscience like Jiminy Cricket.
Walt Disney himself once said, “Laughter is timeless, imagination has no age, and dreams are forever.” Charlotte would definitely agree with that.
Charlotte, your Mom, Dad, Avery, and dog Atticus love you so much! And you know it’s true…cause they would never tell a lie like Pinocchio!
Thanks for listening,
Charlotte’s Mom
